Cookies and tracking
This site uses cookies that are strictly necessary for the basket and checkout to work —
without them WooCommerce cannot remember what you added. We also use analytics and advertising
cookies, including the Meta pixel and Google’s tags, to measure which advertising works.
You can refuse non-essential cookies through the banner when you first arrive, and change your
mind at any time. Refusing them does not stop you buying anything.
Who we share it with
- Stripe — payment processing.
- Freight carriers — your name, address and phone number, so they can
schedule the delivery. - Our hosting and email providers — to run the site and reply to you.
- Meta and Google — advertising measurement, where you have accepted
advertising cookies.
We do not sell your personal information for money. Sharing data with
advertising platforms for cross-context behavioral advertising can count as a “sale” or “share”
under California law even when no money changes hands, so you have the right to opt out of it
— see below.
How long we keep it
Order and transaction records are kept for seven years, because tax law requires it. Marketing
contact details are kept until you unsubscribe. Correspondence is kept for three years.
Your rights
If you are a California resident, the CCPA as amended by the CPRA gives you the right to:
- Know what personal information we have collected about you, and where it came from.
- Request a copy of it.
- Request that we delete it.
- Request that we correct it.
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information.
- Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights — we will not charge you
more or give you a worse service for asking.
Residents of Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas and a growing number of other states
have closely equivalent rights, and we apply the same process to every request regardless of where
you live.
To exercise any of these, email info@dirtvanta.shop. We will verify your
identity — usually by confirming details of an order — and respond within 45 days. You
may use an authorised agent.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Card details go directly to Stripe and are never stored on our
systems. Access to order data is limited to people who need it to fulfil orders.
Children
This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone
under 16.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update this page and change the date below.
